When did he become aware of the extent of what he was translating?
Obviously when many years ago, first on my own, then for the editions of Sao Paulo, I began to translate with the normal attitude.
My assignment was that I was literal translations, without interpretations so, over the years, I realized that putting together different pieces, differently told in the various biblical books, can be assembled without effort, all Tiles of a mosaic so that the Bible can be considered one of the many historical books that mankind has written in the course of its natural evolution.
If we think that the Bible is this, then there is a lot of things that, among others, are very important, linking perfectly to what the peoples of all continents of the earth tell us. The Bible makes no exceptions.
